The Executone CareCom II-E nurse call system provides a total communication system for patients and nurses. Its two way voice and tone signal capability, emergency signaling and sophisticated features facilitate easy patient call handling.

In patient rooms patients use convenient pillow speakers or call cords to communicate with the nurses station. The pillow speaker has well marked controls and doubles as the TV control. At the Nurses Station the NCS, with its back lit LCD screen, displays patient calls in priority order; code blue, emergency or normal patient call. The operator of the NCS may answer with a handset or hands free, and may use function keys to hang-up, place calls or put calls on hold and to monitor rooms.

The system has programmed features which adjust operational configurations to suit the varying needs of hospitals and skilled nursing facilities. For example, the system can adapt station group assignments to changing shift and staffing needs. Patient rooms can swing from one NCS to another with one key stroke and confirmation from the other NCS.

The CareCom II-E integrates with pocket paging and ILS locator systems to provide enhanced capabilities. Managements reports can be generated showing patient call activity in the facility.
